Carrongrange school in Falkirk benefited from the scheme, they enjoyed a residential break at Rowardennan Youth Hostel, Loch Lomond. Frances Macguire from the school said, ’our group of pupils, all with special needs, had a wonderful experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and achieved things, which they would never have believed possible, through the encouragement and expertise of the staff. There was a great emphasis on teamwork and challenges were always provided within the parameters of safety considerations and we all had great fun. Perhaps is it best summed up in a quote from one of the pupils, ’this is like a dream, I’ve never been to anywhere like this before’.
