Feedback from our school and youth group clients

Can You Experience: School / Youth Activities

Don’t just take our word for it; read below what some of our previous school and youth group customers enjoyed the most about their Can You Experience.

183rd Glasgow Scouts

I would like to thank all of the Can You team for giving our scouts a fantastic last day at summer camp.  Quotes from 2 of the scouts: ’Best canoeing experience I have had’. (this scout can canoed down rivers in Canada with the Scouts)  ’Power Kiting was amazing’  We’ll be back! Douglas Morton.

Tollcross School, Edinburgh

Fantastic day of activities with excellent instructors.  The kids loved it all! Annmarie MacRury.

Mackie Academy, Stonehaven

I have used Can You Experience many times and will continue to do so.  The staff are helpful, friendly and very professional.  The variety of activities on offer give the opportunity to make return visits more often as there is always something different to choose from. Staff are most willing to be accommodating of pupils with particular needs and very good at dealing with all pupils.  I would recommend Can You Experience to any groups looking for a fun outdoor educational trip, which offers exceptional value for money. Loraine McNeill.

Haldane Youth Services, Balloch

In our group we had 2 young people with additional needs.  I informed your staff who were observant, kind, caring and had the best interest of the child at heart.  Gave our staff crucial support during this activity. Thanks. Claire Davis.

Arbroath High School, Arbroath

We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at Loch Lomond with Can You Experience.  The staff and activities were all excellent and fortunately the weather was too!  The 9 youngsters that we brought on the residential has a wonderful time and would all happily come back to work with CYE again.  Some of them are already talking about organising another trip.  As teachers, we greatly appreciated teh professionalism of all staff at CYE and the waythat they worked with the pupils.  We would definately use CYE again and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others organising a similar trip. Sarah Warden.

Torry Academy, Aberdeen

Our pupils have not enjoyed a school trip so much and this was mainly due to the excellent care and generosity of spirit shown by the Can You Experience team.  Claire Bradford.

Cardonald College, Glasgow

At Cardonald College Glasgow we were tasked with introducing a diverse group of overseas visitors to Scottish culture.  The Can You Experience Co Ltd suggested a mini Highland Games on the shores of Loch Lomond and below is an extract from our report to the college management about the event, ’Our day at Loch Lomond was wonderful, a day none of the 45 foreign  students and tutors will forget, not to mention our own HN1 Travel and Tourism class.  As we stepped off the bus we were greeted by a piper, who piped us down to the lochside.  There Ben Lomond was reflecting off the ice on the Loch, and you can imagine how many pictures were taken.  We were split into teams and then the games began - hurling the haggis, tossing the caber, Highland dancing (with a real dancer), flinging the wellie, and tug of war - as well as a wee go of the pipes.’  I have already recommended the Can You Experience Company Ltd to colleagues within the college.  Kenneth Park.

Oban Youth Cafe Project, Oban

The staff, location and activities make Can You Experience one of the best organisations we have used, and we have used a lot!  The activities have an edge that keeps the attention of the young people and that is a huge task.  We will definately be back, the kids are still raving about it a week later!  Lori Hannah

Our group of pupils, all with special needs, had a wonderful experience.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and achieved things which they would never have believed possible through the encouragement and expertise of the staff.  There was a great emphasis on team work and challenges were always provided within the parameters of safety considerations and we all had great fun.  Perhaps it is best summed up in a quote from one of the pupils, ’this is like a dream, I’ve never been to anywhere like this before’. Frances Macguire

Fettes College Prep School, Edinburgh

I have taken 45, thirteen year old pupils to Can You Experience for the past 3 years and have booked again for this year.  I have been very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and their enthusiasm.  The program that pupils take part in was varied, challenging and well organised.  The pupils take part in well organised team building activities including improvised raft building, which of course they love!  It is certainly a highlight of the summer term and they talk about it for months to come!  I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Park School, Kilmarnock

On behalf of Park School, I would like to thank you very much for giving our pupils the opportunity to take part in the Loch Lomond Outdoor Break.  This was a terrific experience for our pupils and they enjoyed themselves immensely.  Accommodation, food and outdoor activities were excellent and all pupils said that they would love to go back.  The activities were really good and thanks to Graham, they were very appropriate to pupils’ abilities.  This meant that all pupils could take part.  Pupils participated well on their own and also as part of a team.  The outdoor break was a particularly positive experience for one pupil who had not stayed away from home before.  The fact that everything was so organised, appropriate and enjoyable prevented him from becoming upset and he really enjoyed himself.  Once again, thank you for giving us this opportunity.  I would also like to thank you for help in organising the trip.  I would certainly recommend the outdoor break to other. Karen Wilson, Principal Teacher of Additional Support Needs.

I am writing to express thanks on behalf of the staff and pupils of Mackie Academy.  A great time was had by all.  The efficient and professional way that the staff organised the pupils and their excellent knowledge of the activities and the local area made for a memorable experience.  The activities themselves were great fun and the way in which they were organised made everyone feel included in the experience and a sense of achievement.  Despite miserable weather conditions on Friday, the pupils had a wonderful time.  The rain and muddy conditions may in fact have enhanced their fun!  We look forward to our next booking, thanks once again for your help, Lorraine McNeill, PT Computing.
